We are looking to recruit a highly organised individual to assist with the day to day running of the Mayoralty. The Mayoralty is responsible for organising Civic events, including the Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade, overseeing the operation of the Town Hall, and servicing and webcasting Council committee meetings, as well as providing support to the Mayor.
Based at the Town Hall, your principal duties will be dealing with invitations to the Mayor and co-ordinating the Town Hall bookings diary but there will be opportunities to become involved in Civic and fundraising events and you will be expected to assist the busy Mayoralty team wherever required; a flexible approach to your work is therefore essential. The post will involve some evening and weekend working.
Your work will involve dealing with a wide range of people including Civic dignitaries and Councillors, as well as direct contact with members of the public. You will require excellent written and verbal communication skills, good time-management and an eye for detail.
