£29,424 - £33,627 p.a. + additional £10,000 Market Supplement p.a. (paid in monthly instalments on top of salary).
Islington Council’s Housing Department is looking to recruit a Mechanical Inspector to undertake quality checks on work carried out to its housing stock including the renewal and ongoing maintenance of communal boilers and district heating systems, domestic boilers and water tanks.
The successful candidate will ideally have a proven track record undertaking mechanical inspections but newly qualified mechanical engineers will also be considered. Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills are essential as is the ability to keep good electronic records. An understanding of procurement and contract administration processes would be helpful.
