About Hillingdon

Hillingdon Council: Putting our residents first.

About the job

Hillingdon is looking for a Part time (18 hours per week) Programme Manager to manage a new Multi-dimensional Treatment Foster Care – Adolescents (MTFC-A) team.

Your role will be to launch and manage the proven model of change, promoting foster care in association with the Department for Education’s Intensive Evidence-based Interventions support team. MTFC is a multi-agency team with professionals from CAMHS, Social Care and Education working together as a team. The Programme has enjoyed a high level of success nationally, in increasing placement stability for this challenging age group, and particular success in improving educational attainment and attendance.

About the person

As Programme Manager you will have responsibility for overseeing the day to day management of the service, recruitment of and development of Foster Carers on Programme, supervision of staff, as well as participating in the clinical team meetings on a weekly basis.

It really helps if you like working with teenagers as the informal atmosphere created within the programme means regular and close contact with carers, young people and staff is actively encouraged. You will hold a social work qualification or equivalent and have some experience of this or similar evidence based work. You will be a leader, but also a good team player able to bring people from different backgrounds together in an effective team.
