Longfield Training Centre, Stevenage
Starting Salary: £30,153 pa progressing to £32,486 pa
37 hours per week, Permanent Contract

An opportunity has arisen for a digital learning specialist in Community Protection - Fire & Rescue Training Centre based at Longfield, Stevenage.

The role of the Digital Learning Officer, working with Service subject matter experts, is to design, develop and produce high quality, engaging blended learning and interactive training packages, hosted on the Service’s Learner Management System. You will report to the Competence and Development Manager.

The right candidate must have experience in a similar or related role, or the ability to acquire the skills outlined below:

  • Instructional/learning design skills and an understanding of training and delivery methodology of a variety of online training solutions. Including responsive design and mobile/micro learning creation.
  • Competency in eLearning authoring tools such as, Adobe Captivate, GOMO and Adapt Builder.
  • An ability to create and edit media assets photos, video, audio and graphics, using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Competency in video and audio production utilising a variety of camera and recording equipment.
  • An ability to curate and organise content on Learner Management Systems.
  • Experience of planning and progressing work activities, within general guidelines, using initiative and judgement.
