Based at Worthing Museum & Art Gallery

We are looking for a responsible and enthusiastic person with good technical retail and customer care skills and who will also be required to support the installation, maintenance, and dismantling of exhibitions (permanent and temporary) in conjunction with the curatorial team.

This is a ‘hands-on role’ where you will be required to provide a consistent high quality of customer care for all users of museum services and deliver a positive, interesting and safe visitor experience.

Your duties will also include day-to-day operation of the museum, delivery of customer care, health and safety, security, and cleaning. You will have at least two years experience of installing exhibitions in a museum environment, along with a track record in venue/facilities operations, preferably within a museum, education, or heritage environment.

Knowledge of security, health and safety policies and risk assessment processes within a public facing environment will also be essential.

A full clean driving licence and enhanced DBS check is required. Regular weekend and evening working will be required. Uniform will be provided. The successful applicant will be required to live within 20mins of the museum in order to respond to any out of hours call outs.
