NCG Disability Training & Support Officer 0.8 FTE

We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated individual to assist in the development of an exciting new venture within the Learning Support Service. The Newcastle College Learning Support Service currently provide advice, guidance and support to more than 800 college students who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities. We are looking to develop a group wide Disability Advisory Service which would cover NCG nationally.

The successful candidate will have an extensive and broad knowledge of pan disabilities. Skills in training development and delivery are essential. The role will include delivery of training on a national basis and therefore a flexible working pattern will be necessary.

Please note this post is part-time working 29.6 hours per week.

You will possess excellent communication skills, be committed to team work, have an understanding of the barriers associated with teaching and learning for individuals with disabilities. You will adopt absolute commitment to promotion of Disability Awareness.
