We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Neighbourhood Coordinator to join our well established but highly ambitious organisation. As a Neighbourhood Coordinator you will be required to inform and coordinate the delivery of key aspects of the Friary Park Neighborhood Strategy. You will play a lead role in the development and delivery of social, economic and financial inclusion opportunities to help build a strong, sustainable and well-managed neighborhood. This role will involve engagement with local residents and agencies to identify options for the future management of community facilities and to outreach activities to raise awareness of access to services and opportunities. You will also be required to assist with local groups and residents to access funding opportunities to support community initiatives. Maintaining community insight data, mapping services and understanding of partner priorities to identify gaps in services will be expected in order to understand how these might be addressed. You will be required to work some evenings and weekends in this role as a Neighbourhood Coordinator.

You will have high levels of literacy, numeracy and networking skills with the ability to work both strategically and to your own initiative. You will have proven knowledge and experience of community development, developing and supporting projects and social programmes. You will have experience engaging with people from all communities and be able to prepare and write funding applications and reports for funders and stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate experience in building the capacity of individuals and organisations with the use of IT systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
