Circa £12,465 pa pro rata for part time hours
Duties may involve a combination of the following tasks:
•Ensure that all food is prepared, cooked and served in strict confidence with Hertfordshire Catering’s published menu and with statutory Food and Nutrient Based Standards. Deliver any special dietary, emergency and function catering as required.
•Maintain an up to date understanding of statutory Food and Nutrient Based Standards and the make up of dishes so that this can be communicated to the customers and encourage them to make healthy choices.
•Maintain standards of food handling, food hygiene and cleanliness.
•Undertake basic cooking of food as required by the Cook or Catering Manager to the standards specified by Hertfordshire Catering and maintain an understanding of the Nutritional Standards. Understand and work within Hertfordshire Catering Policies and Procedures as set out in the Food Safety Manual and the Health & Safety Policy.
•Assist with serving and cleaning duties as required by the Catering Manager within the kitchen or dining room, including general washing up and clearing away.
•Handle cash accurately and ensure all monies are properly accounted for. Work with Smart Card system if required.
All catering posts are Monday to Friday, term time only and in most cases, part time.
