Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) Talent Pool

Are you currently undertaking training at, or have you recently qualified from, an initial teacher training course leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK? YES – If you have achieved, or are working towards, QTS then please continue to registration. NO – Without QTS you are unable to register with our NQT Talent Pool. Please apply directly to schools in response to advertised vacancies. Please note that teachers who have trained outside the UK but within the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland, had their qualifications recognised and subsequently been awarded QTS, do not have to complete skills tests or an induction period. How to register Click on the link below and you will be taken through a series of stages where you will be asked to provide information on your skills and experience, plus other details such as the qualifications you hold or are working towards. You will also be asked to submit a short supporting statement which should set out how you feel you meet the requirements for a teaching role in Lewisham. You should refer to the attached NQT Person Specification to see what we are looking for when recruiting newly qualified teachers. The final section is for you to provide your personal details and also includes a facility for you to upload your latest CV. You can cut and paste your responses, so these can be prepared in advance, but you are advised to set aside around an hour to complete your registration.
