Subject specialism in Programming (e.g. Flash) or Music Technology or Science or vocational subject

The Surrey Lift Off project team are passionate about bringing learning and achievement to young people who are disengaged from mainstream education. We are using the technology of Apple Mac computers and a Virtual Learning Environment platform to engage young people through bespoke learning plans geared to helping them to achieve qualifications. We help them to integrate with the real world again through their online studies, work experience, selected face-to-face activities and supported exit plans. We are looking for online tutors who can offer a subject specialism to work with us in developing online courses that deliver qualifications with recognised awarding bodies.

The work is mainly carried out at home but there may be some face-to-face work with young people, as required. As this is a Bank position, hours are negotiable depending on subject specialisms offered but commitment will be spread across 5 days of the week, reducing during school holidays. This is a bank contract so there is an allowance for paid holidays added on to the hourly rate. Laptops and other technology are provided and training will be given. Enhanced CRB check required.
