We are seeking a Paralegal to join our busy Legal Services team. We are located in the south east of England with offices overlooking the River Medway and high-speed transport links to London. We are looking for bright, dynamic and positive individuals with fresh ideas ready to be part of our exciting modernisation journey.

We have just introduced a new structure and are implementing new ways of working to provide legal advice and support across the whole authority and beyond. We want lawyers who will be an asset to the organisation well beyond the provision of legal advice; we will harness your analytical and problemsolving skills and logical approach in projects to deliver the best results for the people of Medway.

In exchange, we can offer you high quality work and as much responsibility as you can handle, flexitime and flexible working, five days guaranteed training a year to help you develop as a local government lawyer as well as a specialist in your own field, a generous relocation allowance subject to certain criteria and membership of the local government pension scheme.

Applicants must hold/have the following:

  • Member of the Institute of Legal Executives
  • BA (HONS) Law degree or an equivalent qualification
  • A willingness to undertake an ILEX qualification
