Parks Community Engagement Officer
Enable Leisure and Culture is a new organisation, created out of the local authority sector as a Public Service Mutual, and applying for charitable status. We will be providing a wide range of services across a leisure and cultural portfolio contracted out by Wandsworth Council. The business has an annual turnover in excess of £8 million and includes a trading arm for any non-charitable activities.
You will be a key member of the Parks Development Team working to understand what our visitors, the local community and Friends groups want to see enhanced and improved. You will work to ensure we remain responsive to the increasing demands of all our users and to raise awareness of our diverse work across all our parks, commons and greenspaces. We are looking for a team player who has strong self-motivation and the ability to work on personal initiative as well as in constructive collaboration with colleagues. You will have a passion for making lasting improvements to a wide range of greenspaces from national flagship sites to pocket parks.
The role is for 20 hours a week based primarily in the Parks Office in Battersea Park. You will be expected to travel around Wandsworth to visit sites and meet stakeholders on a regular basis.
