Location:We have several sites throughout the district e.g. Kelham Hall - HQ, Leisure Centres at Southwell, Balderton, Ollerton, Blidworth, Tourist Info Centres @ Newark and Ollerton, Museum, Castle and Theatre in Newark, Cashier’s office – Town Hall in Newark, Waste and Transport Depot and Lorry Park in Newark together with several parks and open spaces throughout Newark and District. 

6 months maternity cover – mid November start – working 30 hours per week

The Palace is a 616 seat, local-authority owned venue in the market town of Newark. The programme consists of a variety of touring productions plus a number of community-led activities, and the ideal candidate will have experience of programming within similar venues.

With responsibility for the theatre’s budget, controlling and monitoring all income and expenditure and delivering the subsidy level in line with the council’s requirements, you will also be responsible for all strategic planning and report delivery as required.

A strong team leader, the role will be responsible for overseeing delivery of the venue’s marketing plan, wet and dry catering operation and community-led activities.
