Part Time Municipal Buildings Attendant

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to become part of the team responsible for the day to day operation of the City Councils Public Buildings and Commercial Properties.
You will undertake a range of caretaking duties including setting up rooms, supervision of events, providing refreshments and catering to meetings and functions, security and key holder responsibilities. To be able to move furniture and light equipment is desirable.
The role involves a high degree of contact with members of the public, staff and other building users. Therefore you will be able to communicate clearly and courteously, have previous experience of dealing with the public and understand the importance of good customer service.
You should have excellent organisational skills, work well both in a team and on your own initiative and be able to work in any of the City Councils Public Buildings in both Lancaster and Morecambe.
You will be required to work a minimum of 17.5 hours per week between Monday and Friday, arranged on a weekly basis to cover the needs of the Service. You will also be expected to work overtime as required for which payment will be made. This may be during the evening or at weekends. The post holder will also participate in the City Councils out of hours standby scheme for emergency call outs to the buildings.
- Note, the Council is currently implementing a new pay and grading structure and salary may be subject to change.
