Part-time Technician

Visual Impairment (VI)/ Hearing Impairment (HI)/

Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI) Technician

£21,090 – 23,130 pa, pro rata • Permanent role

18 hours per week for 47.5 weeks per year

To include all school term dates and 2 weeks during school summer holidays

We need a committed Technician to advise, manage and support the use of a range of resources

and technical equipment loaned and used by specialist teachers for children with a sensory

impairment. You will be experienced at fault finding, repairing and resolving problems with a

range of IT equipment and be willing to learn Braille and develop skills with more specialist

In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to work independently and

communicate knowledge and skills to a wide range of people, including children and teachers.

It is expected your main base will be in Maidenhead but you will be required to work at other

offices across the Berkshire unitary authorities. A car driver is therefore essential.
