Personal Adviser – Children & Young People Services
£27,945 rising in annual increments to £32,532 pa incl. LW
Starting salary dependent on experience
You’ll help young people in our care make the transition to independent living. It’s a key role, where you’ll work directly with young people, their carers and various agencies to make sure there’s a fully integrated Personal Adviser and Aftercare Service available. Your aim is to promote young people’s welfare; to encourage them to act responsibly towards others and to take responsibility for themselves; and to see that any particular needs, such as cultural and linguistic background, are met. You should have worked with young people before and have a qualification in a relevant field: for example, Social Services, Teaching, Health, Connexions or Youth Work.
