We are seeking talented and enthusiastic planners who are looking for both challenges and opportunities to further their career by assisting with the Royal Borough’s statutory plan-making processes. The position offers candidates an opportunity to develop within a busy Planning department and to join a committed and friendly policy team.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of plan making tasks including preparation of the Borough Local Plan, Travellers and Minerals and Waste plans, neighbourhood planning, monitoring work and evidence base preparation. You will be assisting senior Policy officers and will have a diverse, interesting and challenging workload. There will also be some opportunities to lead on projects associated with the Council’s monitoring functions.
In addition to support with training and personal development, we operate flexible approaches to working including a mixture of hot desking and homeworking for planning personnel.
