Playwork Advisor

The Early Years and Childcare Service is looking for 0.5 experienced playworker to work across their wide range of settings and projects in Surrey.

Working with practitioners you will provide advice and support on fully inclusive, stimulating and creative play activities for children and young people in before and after school provision and holiday playschemes.

Qualified to level 5 in an appropriate childcare field with a level 3 in playwork, you will have extensive experience of working with children and young people, be able to demonstrate an understanding of playwork and child development, and have a good knowledge of play provision.

Key accountabilities include:

-Inspiring and motivating the out of school sector to deliver excellent outcomes for children and young people
-Ensuring that vulnerable children have access to childcare that supports wellbeing and healthy child development
-Informing the development of sufficient high quality in line with the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment
-Working in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies and childcare providers
