Your Skills + Our Ambition = Their Future
We have an ambition to make our care for children amongst the best, safest, and most progressive in the country. Children in Care told us what they needed was well established long lasting caring relationships.
This means that we have a great responsibility to provide high quality placements for children and as a result we have invested a great deal of effort and money in expanding and improving our fostering service. This has involved high quality recruitment campaigns and the development of a specialist placement scheme for children with the more complex and challenging needs.
Please visit our fostering website http://fostering.n-somerset.gov.uk/fm/
You would have prime responsibility for ensuring we provide high quality support to our carers and ensure that the standards of care they provide are of the highest possible quality. Your team includes an Advance Social Work Practitioner and several Social Workers.
In addition to this the wider service is available to support your staff and carers. Our innovative multi-agency groups include Social Workers, Support Workers and professionals from Health, Connexions, Youth, Education and Child Psychology. It is an enthusiastic, mutually supportive team dedicated to a common purpose.
The combination of your skills and commitment and our ambition will give our children safer, better care and a more promising future.
