Practice Manager

Introduction

A vacancy has arisen for a Practice Manager in the Children In Need social work service. You will be based in a busy team and will be the first line manager of a group of social workers who are undertaking complex child protection work, have key work responsibility for children subject to Child Protection Plans and Child in Need Plans, care proceedings and children in care, including permanency planning work and moving children on to adoption.

You will also manage Social Work Resource Officers who undertake work with children in need. You will need to have detailed knowledge of child care legislation, having extensive experience of care proceedings and child protection work, in terms of risk management and achieving positive outcomes for children and their families. Located at Lavender Street Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Post – 37 Hours Per Week
