We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven PR and media professional in our busy, but fun, communications team to help shape our news agenda and put Medway on the map. You’ll be expected to deliver an effective strategic, proactive and reactive public relations service for Medway Council and be instrumental in our social media activity. Not only should you understand print media, but you need to show an understanding of what makes a compelling TV package, and how councilors and officers can use TV, radio and other digital media to the council’s benefit
The role is fast-paced and demanding, and we’re looking for candidates with experience of local and national media relations, a good understanding of the media landscape, creative flair, and the confidence and influence to turn that flair into excellent media coverage for the council.
You’ll be expected to produce measurable results, often within tight deadlines and on complex issues.
