This is an exciting new post funded by National Health Service England through a Health and Justice Collaborative Commissioning Work Stream. This opportunity will appeal to workers with mental health experience with a desire to work at a preventative level.
North Somerset Youth Offending and Prevention Service (YOS) is a successful partnership between North Somerset Council, Police, National Probation Service, Clinical Commissioning Group, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, and other agencies. The YOS works with young people subject to statutory youth justice interventions and those who might be at risk of offending and/or substance misuse; and to provide services to carers, families, and victims.
This particular post will be based within the Youth Inclusion Support Project however the post holder will work across the YOS and in close liaison with partner agencies from whom a significant number of referrals are envisaged.
The successful applicant will be expected to case manage, assess and deliver interventions, incorporating a mental health focus, to young people.
You will need:
Professional Qualification to a degree level or equivalent e.g. in Nursing or Social Work with the relevant professional registration.
Ability to assess risk and need, establish and implement Care Plans.
Ability to engage with Service users and staff from a range of agencies.
This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
