This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new development in our Area Children and Young People’s Teams to develop Tiers 1 & 2 of the CAMHS service delivery. Working closely with a range of professionals, schools, families, children and young people you will promote good mental health and emotional well-being for our children and young people.
The 2 posts will be community based in each Area Team, working closely with and accountable to the Educational Psychology Service. The successful applicants will be qualified and experienced mental health professionals who are self-starters and enjoy working in multi-disciplinary teams in a broad range of contexts.
The key responsibilities are:
• to promote resilience and emotional and social well-being, including lead professional role for specific and targeted population for children and young people
• undertake mental health assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions to children, young people
• to increase the mental health service capacity in Children’s Area Teams by providing training, advice and support to professionals and families
• to contribute to the development of our inter-agency approach to early interventions and preventative work, through key involvement with the newly set up hub in each area team base
• develop links through joint working with Tier 2 professionals and close liaison with CAMHS.
