Job Description:

The successful candidate will join the Building Control Team to;

• Manage one of the two building control area teams
• Administer and enforce building regulations and allied legislation within a designated area of the district
• Assist the Building Control Manager in the management of the Building Control Service.

The post-holder will work closely with the teams other Principal Building Control Surveyor and report to the Building Control Manager.

The team prides itself in providing excellent customer care and customer feedback is very positive, with the service being held in high regard.

Person Specification:
• Full membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, ABE) or equivalent
• At least five years experience in building control
• A detailed knowledge of current building construction and regulations
• Positive approach to team working
• Excellent customer care skills
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
