Principal Lift Engineer
£42,651 - £45,438 p.a.+ additional £5,000 Market Supplement p.a. (paid in monthly instalments on top of salary).

The opportunity is for a Principal Lift Engineer to join our Building Services Team.
You will be responsible for the management and delivery of Lift replacement projects within the London Borough of Islington from inception through to completion of works on site .
The successful candidate will ideally have a proven track record managing lift replacement works with the ability to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained. You will manage and coordinate your own workload with minimal supervision. You will have a good understanding of procurement and contract administration and the ability to produce detailed technical reports for various project stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge of Lift engineering and the ability to manage a small team. The role will require strong, interpersonal, IT and communication skills. You will also have the ability to overcome challenges which may arise to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.

You will be responsible for the development of the a forward five year asset management plan and capital improvement programme for lift replacement works to ensure all lifts are maintained to a satisfactory standard and are fully compliant with the latest statutory regulations and codes of practice .
You will be expected to be conversant with the requirements of all statutory Health and Safety policies and procedures and the latest CDM Regulations to effectively carry out the role.
A Standard DBS ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) will be required for this role.
