This job provides an opportunity to make a positive contribution to safeguarding the special character and appearance of the New Town and Garden City together with the rural areas and villages within the borough of Welwyn Hatfield. This is a key role that includes leading a team, investigating complaints and contraventions of planning control, collecting evidence to support the instigation of formal enforcement procedures.
With a recognised qualification in Planning Enforcement or Town & Country Planning you will have good communication and negotiation skills and be able to demonstrate methodical and well organised working. You will have management experience together with knowledge and experience of planning enforcement preferably in a local authority context.
It is essential that you have a valid UK driving licence and access to a motor vehicle.
