We are seeking a planner who can demonstrate skills and experience in dealing with applications for major residential and commercial development proposals, and defending decisions at appeal, to join our Major Sites Team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, committed to providing excellent customer service and able to demonstrate a proactive approach to dealing with development proposals with a clear understanding of current planning legislation and guidance. Bracknell Forest is a forward-looking Unitary Authority which has a vibrant local economy. The borough is seeing continuing investment occurring as local businesses expand and housebuilders increase their activity, with some 8,000 new homes to be delivered over the coming decade. Bracknell’s town centre is currently undergoing a transformation as a major regeneration project takes place, to be completed in Autumn 2017, which includes new leisure and retail facilities, new homes, cafes and restaurants
