Staffordshire Probation Area is seeking to appoint qualified Probation Officers to work within our Offender Management Units to undertake assessment work, report preparation and management of tier 3 and 4 offenders. We have vacancies across a number of teams in the South and South East of the County.
Offender Managers work in multi-disciplinary teams, strongly supported by Senior Offender Manager grade staff and work closely with Interventions staff and a range of external partnerships. We have developed a number of successful prolific/persistent offender partnerships with the police.
Applicants will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting performance targets and a willingness to contribute to initiatives whilst working in a manner which is sensitive to diversity.
Our Learning and Development Unit successfully equip staff with the skills required to meet the challenges of a fast changing and busy environment. In addition to offender management we have 5 Prisons, 3 Approved Premises, Mentally Disordered Offender, Drug Rehabilitation and Victims Units. Our staff deployment policy enables staff to gain a variety of experience through regular movement into these different areas of work.
