Reducing re-offending in the Thames Valley

You will become a key member of our Offender Management Unit working alongside prison staff as an Offender Supervisor, effectively contributing to the assessment of offender risks and resettlement plans. You will interview offenders and write relevant reports for the parole board and in respect of applications for release on temporary licence.

Knowledge of the criminal justice process is essential, alongside strong interviewing skills and the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of people in a variety of situations. The ability to complete OASYs (structured Risk assessments) is desirable as is an awareness of issues concerning Public Protection. You will be highly organised, IT proficient and a committed team worker in a partnership with the Prison Service, with a desire to innovate and develop the service to offenders. A commitment to personal development and obtaining appropriate qualification levels is also essential.
