Processing Assistant

The work of the Conservation and Technology Section is key in the curatorial activities of the MSB Partnership and you will help RBG Kew to deliver its mission by carrying out cleaning, processing, banking, viability testing and distributing seed collections held at the Millennium Seed Bank (MSB). You will also input and check data on the Seed Bank Database, deliver training to partners and other visitors in support of the MSB Partnership technology transfer programme, and provide technical support to partners for the curation of in-country collections.

ESSENTIALS:

You will have sound practical experience working in a relevant discipline, or a further education qualification in a science subject. You have experience of working constructively as part of a team and will also require excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to demonstrate sound judgement and clear, logical thinking.
