Location:This role is home-based but involves travel around the South East region.

Improvement and Efficiency South East(IESE)www.southeastiep.gov.uk) is a regional body supporting local councils, targeting efficiency opportunities to achieve greater value for money through Collaboration and changing the way in which services are delivered. We are seeking to recruit a Procurement Project Manager who will work with the IESE team and local authority officers in delivering a range of projects involving procurement and partnership development.

Your focus will be on managing procurements to deliver savings in key spend areas for Councils right across the South East region. This will require an understanding of public sector procurement rules and regulations but more importantly you will need to build relationships with key stakeholders to deliver results that meet a diverse range of needs.

You must have:

  • a proven track record of managing procurements, specifically those involving multiple stakeholders and ideally in a local government environment
  • a sound knowledge of PRINCE2 or an equivalent project management
    methodology
  • the ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels
