Programme Management Officer (PMO)

A key member of the Commercial and Procurement Unit PMO (Programme Management Office) Team, you will provide support through the PMO Manager to the Head of Commercial & Procurement and the Senior Management Team. With a particular emphasis on ‘Waveplan’, you will be involved in everything from resourcing, planning, procurement and project management to providing all the necessary information on performance and delivery to assist with decision making. We will also look to you to deliver performance management reporting processes and identify and resolve emerging problems.

Along with a proven project management background and desirably a PRINCE 2 qualification, you will have experience in a commercial setting. Equally important are sound decision-making skills, a highly organised approach and the ability to manage high volumes of work. You will also be a confident communicator and be able to liaise effectively at a senior level and influence thinking.

The NPIA, National Policing Improvement Agency, works for the Police Service and directly supports forces to deliver improvements today, and into the future. We’re a single national support agency led by the police, for the police, created through the work of the ACPO, APA and the Home Office. The NPIA provides leadership and expertise to the police service in areas as diverse as information and intelligence sharing, core police processes, managing change and recruiting, developing and deploying people.
