Project Manager – Aiming High For Disabled Children

Hours:Part-time, 22 hours per week Fixed-term contract until 31 March 2011

The Aiming High for Disabled Children agenda is an exciting and challenging three-year programme that aims to transform the lives of disabled children and their families.

If you are enthusiastic, self motivated, and already have some experience of project management, you could help to develop our services and take the lead on the transformation of the Short Break Service for disabled children and young people.

Your main responsibility will be to draw up the 3-year plan, following consultation with key partners including disabled children and their families. The transformation plan must be finalised by March 2009 and, for the following two years, until March 2011, you will take the lead on implementing the plan and developing services.

Working flexibly with all service areas in the Children’s Trust Partnership, excellent communication skills will be essential as will the ability to work on your own initiative and manage your own workload. Regular supervision will be provided. Educated to degree level, you will demonstrate a commitment to this group of service users.
