We are looking for 2 Project Workers (Learning Disabilities) to work at our scheme in the village of Burwell in East Cambridgeshire.
The scheme at Burwell consists of two purpose built bungalows. The project accommodates eight adults with learning disabilities, who need care and support in developing and promoting their independence.
Keeping accurate records and liaising with relatives and other professionals will be an important part of the job. You should also be prepared to work unsupervised shifts and provide all aspects of support applicable to this client group.
The ability to work well as part of a team, with minimum supervision and the ability to communicate well are key aspects of the role.
You will be required to work on a rota basis according to service needs and will include some weekend working and sleep-ins where appropriate.
Due to the nature of this position an enhanced CRB check will be undertaken on the successful candidate’s behalf.
Benefits: 23 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays, a contributory pension scheme plus other group benefits.

Salary: £15,772 – £17,123 per annum (New employees will normally start at the bottom of the salary scale)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Interim until August 2012
