This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people in Reading who need early intervention to reduce the risk of teenage pregnancy. With an ability to engage with young people with a range of risk factors, you will develop and deliver one to one and group work programmes with the aim of reducing teenage conception rates and supporting teenage parents.
Key working relationships with the Youth Engagement Service, Social Care, Berkshire West PCT, Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust, Connexions, Children’s Action Teams, Secondary Schools and Further Education will be essential to facilitate a collaborative approach towards improving outcomes for children and young people by reducing conception rates locally and providing education, training and employment opportunities for young people.
