Asset Manager (Commercial Investment)
Paying up to £66,344 per annum + Local Government benefits
Surrey County Council
Are you a seasoned Asset Manager who has a successful track record in managing a large and mixed property investment portfolio? At Surrey, we aim to increase and maximise our income streams and recognise that the long-term capital growth of our property portfolio will play a pivotal role in securing our financial position; allowing us to continue to deliver quality services to our residents.
We are looking to recruit an Asset Manager to the Asset Investment & Regeneration team who’ll write and develop Asset Management Plans for existing individual property investments, as well as to source new investment opportunities through research and networking. You’ll remain ahead of the curve and work quickly throughout the stages; from identifying opportunities, writing robust business cases, recommending acquisitions or disposals, to gaining cabinet approval, right through to due diligence and completion.
To be considered for this role, you’ll be a natural networker with strong commercial acumen and an eye for identifying appropriate opportunities whilst seeing them through to fruition – this is not a ‘business as usual’ asset management position. You will also come with outstanding stakeholder management skills and be able to manage external property consultants and managing agents.
If you have a proven track record of managing commercial property assets and an investment portfolio, from any sector, with the ability to prepare high quality business cases, then we want to hear from you.
In return, we can offer you excellent development and the chance to join an authority that has a highly respected and innovative property services division.
In this role, you’ll be valued contributor to our future success and can make a direct and positive impact to our communities. To discuss this opportunity in confidence, please call our retained search consultant Roxana Abbasi on 020 78843397 or email .
The role will be based at County Hall, Kingston-Upon-Thames, however, there will be frequent travel across the South East.
