Providing services to improve the health and wellbeing of older people has never been more important and this post is key to developing the older people's public health programme.
You will lead the development of the public health programme to improve the health and wellbeing of older people as part of the Brighton & Hove Caring Together Plan to integrate health and social care. This involves working in an integrated way with colleagues in Adult Social Care and the Clinical Commissioning Group as well as other council directorates, NHS, public sector, business and third sector organisations, including local communities.
As part of the older people’s programme, the joint public health, adult social care and Clinical Commissioning Group commissioned contracts are currently being reviewed with a view to reprocurement and you will be the lead for the reprocurement process.
You will also be the public health lead for communities and neighbourhoods and mental health and suicide reduction, managing a small team of public health and health promotion specialists to deliver the programme.
The post is full time, permanent and based at Hove Town Hall.
