Here at Reading, we want people to enjoy a great quality of life – whether it’s those who live in the Borough or the colleagues who choose to work with us. So what does that mean for you?
It means a superb range of benefits to start with. There are flexible working options, as well as free parking, paid professional membership, an excellent pension, the ability to purchase additional leave and more. That’s not to mention structured learning and development to help you achieve your professional goals.
Your job itself offers real variety and involvement in a wide range of exciting projects. We’re working hard to improve disadvantaged areas and enhance people’s lives across the Borough – and you’ll be right at the heart of that. Whether you’re working on major refurbishment projects, regeneration programmes, consultancy services or any other area, you’ll be helping us create communities that people are happy to call home.
Qualified to degree level in a Quantity Surveying discipline or HNC in Quantity Surveying plus significant relevant experience/experience in social housing, you’ve proved that you can prepare financial estimates and budget costs, measure completed works and prepare financial certificates. In addition you will be able to prepare Bills of Quantities for selected projects and undertake site inspections to determine the financial position of projects. Last but not least, you’re a first-rate problem solver who can think on your feet.
