Location:Church Hill Nursery School & Children’s Centre 47 Woodbury Road, Walthamstow, London E17 9SB 

Maternity Cover (Until April 30th 2013) Receptionist/Administrative Officer APT&C Scale 3, Year round, 18 hours per week.

Starting September 2012, Salary Range £17,484 (pro rota)

We are seeking a highly competent, enthusiastic and experienced Receptionist/Administrator to cover the reception office during the hours of 9.30am – 2pm four days a week. You will be the first point of contact for the Woodside children’s centre in both telephone calls and greeting and welcoming visitors, parents into the centre each day.

You will provide general reception, clerical and administrative support, including answering telephones, taking and recording messages and responding to enquiries.

Ideally you will have previous reception experience. Other duties will involve inputting Children’s Centre data onto a data base, filing, photocopying, receiving and dispatching post and other duties as required. Knowledge of MS Office packages and general IT skills are essential

You must be very confident in your presentation and communication skills, possess the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative. You must also possess excellent communication skills and the ability and confidence to deal with both parents and visitors.

Excellent standard of English, good telephone manner, attention to detail and a positive attitude are essential.
