Records Management Unit (RMU)
2-4 Darwin Close, Reading RG2 0TB
Following one retirement and one relocation we are looking for two new members to join our team at the Records Management Unit.
The RMU is based in South Reading and looks after Reading’s hard copy business records. It also looks after similar records for external clients and a legacy collection from the old Berkshire County Council.
Our assistants help log new transfers of material, answer enquiries from internal customers, retrieve and return items, and process records for secure destruction. The postholders will also help with the ongoing review of Berkshire County Council records to identify those no longer required or that will become historic archives.
You will need to enjoy research, be physically fit, have an attention to detail and a strong commitment to information security.
For an informal discussion please contact Bill Stavely, Records Manager, on 0118 937 5934, or email
