Records Management Consultant

Elmbridge Borough Council is looking for an exceptional individual to join our Information Systems Division based at our modern offices in the Esher Civic Centre, Surrey.

We need an experienced records manager to provide expertise for our Corporate Electronic Document and Record Management Project. This new post will initially work alongside the Project Manager to define and embed a Records Management Culture within the Council.

The Council has made a significant investment to support this project and you will be a key player in the project team to deliver the anticipated efficiencies and benefits. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with relevant experience to develop their career and to be involved in improving access to information for staff and the public.

Candidates should have:
- Experience in developing an Information Management Strategy
- Knowledge of Electronic Documents and Records Management Systems and ability to work with IT
- Knowledge of current records management standards and requirements e.g. TNA, IPSV
- Knowledge of legislation governing information and records and all their implications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary dependent on qualifications and experience
