The Role

Brent is alive with opportunity. It is one of the most diverse boroughs in the country with a number of high profile regeneration schemes under way and a reputation for providing high quality planning services. Following the approval of our Core Strategy and Site Specific Proposals, work is now progressing on an ambitious Area Action Plan for Wembley where development of the lands surrounding Wembley Stadium is already being delivered, including a new Civic Centre that is due to open in early 2013. To help strengthen our team to meet this challenge we are seeking a suitable candidate for this post to join in the service. A qualified planner, preferably with policy experience, to assist with a varied and stimulating policy based work programme. You must possess excellent communication and analytical and IT skills coupled with an understanding of the development plan process and issues facing a large urban authority like Brent.
