Location:Dursley Training Unit, 16 Lower Poole Road, Dursley, Glos. May also be required to drive for The Beeches AOC, Beeches Green, Stroud, Glos. GL5 4BH

Dursley Training Unit is looking for a Relief Mini-bus Driver to transport adults with learning disabilities to and from the unit in the absence of our full-time driver.

The bus route involves driving within the Stroud/Dursley area – the morning run is 7.30 am – 9.30 am and the afternoon 3.15 pm to 5.15 pm.

You may also be required to drive for The Beeches AOC in Stroud.

It is essential that you are able to display patience and understanding for people who may require support accessing a mini-bus. You should be able to follow risk assessments and have good communication skills. Some awareness of adults with learning disabilities would be desirable but not essential.

This relief post could provide an ideal opportunity to gain some experience in working in this field of care.

Qualifications
Essential:
Full driving licence held for minimum of three years (valid for D1 category of vehicles).
Desirable:
Gained PSV test.
Completed GCC mini-bus test (training will be provided).
