The Lodge Nursery is a 48 place day nursery providing day care and sessional care. Due to expansion and a staff restructure we are looking for a passionate Room Leader for the age range 0-2 to join our team.
This is an exciting new opportunity to work within our expanding nursery where you can enhance your professional development and build on your current experiences.
The room leader role includes: being responsible for the day-to-day management of a room, the supervision and leadership of a small staff team, taking responsibility for the safety, security and well–being of all children and staff in the room, caring for children aged 0-5, co-ordinating and being part of a key person system, communicating with parents, following and implementing the guidelines of the EYFS, creating a stimulating learning environment and co-ordinating planning and carrying out activities.
The successful candidates will have a Level 3 qualification or more in childcare. They will also have a good understanding of child development, the EYFS and Ofsted guidelines, with a genuine and responsible attitude and be willing to work in a busy environment.
You must be self-driven and have an enthusiastic and flexible approach to your work with the desire to be successful and make a contribution to children’s learning and development.
