The Emergency Planning and Safety team are looking for enthusiastic and motivated fire safety and H&S professionals to join the team. We are looking to employ a Fire Safety advisor and two Safety Advisors(one post to be temporary- 1 year initially).
Our aim is to maximise and enhance the service we offer throughout the Council by continuing to develop our health & safety management system and embed a positive H&S and Fire safety culture.
The Safety Advisor roles will focus upon our auditing and housing contract management responsibilities with our partner, St Leger Homes.
Applicants should have as a minimum NEBOSH National Diploma level in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent. A NEBOSH construction certificate would be advantageous.
The Fire Safety Advisor will require proven experience in a Fire Safety environment together with the ability to undertake audits, training and fire risk assessments within key service areas.
Applicants should have an appropriate fire safety qualification (CFPA Europe Diploma in Fire Prevention,or equivalent and/or NEBOSH Diploma with additional Fire Prevention qualifications). You will hold membership of IFE or equivalent.
