To reflect the fact that the city’s parks are open for longer and that more facilities are on offer, we are looking to employ front line high profile Seasonal Park Rangers to join the existing team.

It is essential that you have experience of working in a front line role, the ability to demonstrate excellent customer care skills and that you can deal with a variety of people and situations. It is also important that you possess good verbal and written communication skills as you will need to keep accurate records of incidents and cash transactions. It is advantageous that you have worked with children before.

The rangers act as ambassadors for the Council and these are uniformed posts. It is preferable to possess a clean current driving licence. All successful candidates are likely to be involved in core duties such as litter picking and playground inspections, and also in some high profile events such as National Play Day events.
