About the Technology Solutions Group (TSG)

TSG is part of the Communications and Technology division within the Corporate Resources directorate of Islington council. Staff and citizens expect more from technology than ever before and with a greater reliance on online services and fewer resources available to the Council it is essential that we invest wisely in ICT and ensure systems are effective and reliable. As a service we are open to change, invest in our staff and seek alignment with the Council’s business needs.

Islington is a great place to live and work in and we have exciting work ahead – migrating to Exchange 2010, upgrading from MSOffice 2003 and deploying SharePoint over the next few months amongst other projects. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Second Line Support Network Engineer to join our team, building an ICT service that surpasses expectations and responds flexibly to our 4,000 users. We expect everybody working in TSG to be customer focused, work collaboratively with colleagues in and across teams and to be an ambassador for TSG and the Council. Using, reviewing and creating high quality documentation including change controls and technical documents is an important part of this role.
