| Summary | There are a significant number of recently bereaved people who, through lack of essential daily living skills and/or de-motivation, are assessed as requiring long-term home care support. RBWM and Cruse Bereavement Care are starting a project later this year which will pilot a new pre-bereavement service supporting elderly residents in their own homes who are caring for terminally ill spouses, siblings etc. who have been diagnosed as having 12 months or less to live. Volunteers will liaise with Health and Social Care staff and other statutory and voluntary organisations and work flexibly with minimal supervision across the Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead area. This service will aim to: The pilot will run until August 2010, when its success will be fully evaluated. You must be a car driver with daily use of a car.
