Required from April 2012 for 1 year.

St James’ Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a temporary, part-time SEN Co-ordinator to lead and manage the special needs provision throughout the school. The position is for 2 days a week and is non-class based.

We require an excellent practitioner, with a proven track record in identifying and meeting learning needs. The successful candidate will have high levels of interpersonal, organisational and IT skills.

We are looking for someone who can: Identify and assess SEN needs; Set targets for raising achievement among pupils with SEN; Provide intervention programmes for individuals/groups; Monitor provision across the school and produce and maintain all relevant documentation; Liaise with outside agencies; Support the work of class teachers and support staff; Work effectively with families to support pupils.

Informal visits to the school are most welcome.
