To continue the service’s transformation, we are now recruiting forward-thinking and innovative professionals who’ll place Property and Asset Management at the heart of the council’s broader organisational change agenda.
The Asset Management Team are responsible for actively managing all aspects of council properties and acting as corporate landlord to the council’s tenants. The team seeks to maximise the efficient use of council assets through pro-active delivery of all landlord and tenant functions, facilities management and capital programmes.
As Senior Asset Planner, you will assist the Strategic Asset Manager to achieve pro-active asset planning for Waltham Forest. Working as part of a team you will assist in the process of contextual understanding, defining and rationalising the Council’s property assets, and contributing to a corporate approach linking effective asset management with capital planning.
In this varied role you will take forward key development projects, working with developers and stakeholders and preparing detailed and costed development proposals. You will provide an important first point of contact for property data and property related information.
As the successful candidate you will possess a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification including graduate membership of the RICS.
Also key to your success will be your ability to work with, support and influence senior colleagues and other stakeholders.
